The symposium on pharmacoeconomics helping tripartite system reform was held and concluded successfully in Grand Metropark North York Hotel, Shenyang, on November 12. It was co-organized by Liaoning Pharmaceutical Association Division of Pharmacoeconomics, ISPOP Branch of Northeast China and SPU, and supported by the Faculty of Business Administration, SPU. Themed on “Advance the Wide Use of Pharmacoeconomics and Promote Alliance and Coordination for tripartite system reform”, the event attracted nearly 210 pharmaceutical experts from production, education, research institutes, business and government, including some leaders from departments of health and medical insurance in the three northeastern provinces, Beijing, Hebei and Tianjin. Bi Kaishun, president of SPU, and Liu Tong, general secretary of Liaoning Pharmaceutical Association, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Sun Lihua, from Faculty of Business Administration SPU, hosted the opening ceremony.
Experts invited to deliver lectures include Li Dachuan, director of Medical and Nursing Branch, National Health and Family Planning Commission, Duan Zhengming, director of Medical Department, National Human Resources and Social Security Center, Huang Xinyu, director of Management Office of Medicare Department, National Human Resources and Social Security Center, prof. Shi Luwen from Peking University, prof.r Lin Likai from Wuhan University, prof. Xuan Jianwei from Sun Yat-sen University, prof. Sun Xin from Sichuan University, prof. Wu Jing from School of Pharmacology Science and Technology, Tianjin University, Dong Peng, director of Research on Health Economics and Results at Pfizer, prof. Sun Lihua from SPU. The Symposium evolved around the application status, problems and future trends of pharmacoeconomics from aspects of policy and practice in medical treatment, medical insurance and medicine fields, as well as the application of real-world data in pharmacoeconomics and tripartite medical system, which fully exhibited the latest development and innovative achievements achieved by pharmacoeconomics discipline in recent years.
The conference set up a platform for domestic and overseas researchers in pharmacoeconomics to discuss and exchange academic frontiers, and has achieved desired objectives and won wide applause from experts and delegates. The successful conclusion of the conference promoted discipline exchange and cooperation, pushed the development of China’s pharmacoeconomics discipline forward, greatly enhanced the reputation and influence of SPU’s pharmacoeconomics discipline at home and abroad, and had a positive impact on improving the academic level, sharpening discipline orientation and attracting talents.
